Piedmont Rugs
A rug-care and restoration site for an East Bay rug house, with photo-attached estimate requests.

Overview
Piedmont Rugs offers rug cleaning, repair and restoration, continual care and written appraisals in Piedmont, Oakland and the East Bay, with a curated rug collection on the way. We designed and built its editorial website, the founder page and the estimate request form, and launched it on the client's own domain.

What we built for Piedmont Rugs
The challenge
- A rug house needed a brand site before it had a stock system or an online shop.
- The site had to feel like a small gallery rather than a furniture retailer.
- Customers needed a simple way to ask about cleaning, repair, appraisal or a specific rug, and to send photos with the request.
- The collection was not ready, so the site had to say so honestly without looking unfinished.
What we built
- Designed a warm, editorial look around full-bleed rug photography, with a founder page for Ramin Hashmi and an About page.
- Built a Rug Care section with a page each for cleaning, repair and restoration, continual care, written appraisals and pickup and delivery.
- Added a Rugs Gallery and archive pages for the collection, with a clear 'coming soon' message until stock is ready.
- Built one request form that takes the customer's details, a message and photo attachments, and emails it to the shop with the customer set as the reply-to address. A separate email signup uses the same email route.
- Made every page link to an estimate request, so the next step is always one click away.
